Customer Review
Harness
Installed for a '95 Ford Explorer Sport. Went in fine, but make sure to connect the amplifier enable wire (Blue/white) to the Blue from the aftermarket radio. Otherwise, if your car has a factory amp then you will find yourself without sound (like I did). There is also a dull sound of static from the speakers, only noticeable when the car is off and the stereo is playing silence, presumably because the factory amp and my aftermarket are not getting along. I am probably going to install an amp bypass (Scosche FD15B) to eliminate the problem (only helpful if your aftermarket stereo has enough power to keep you happy).

What a great deal
Outstanding, Just plug it in to your existing harness and make the stereo installation as about as simple as it can get. Fast shipping and cost savings. Worked great and all is good. Thanks

"Premium" vs "Regular" radio in Fords
I'm looking for one of these for radio change in my Explorer. Note that this is the style used for "Premium" radio install with remote amp. There is a different version for "Regular" radio install with direct radio-to-speaker output (no separate amp) that looks like two of the wide connector (lower in photo). See Ford radio wiring manual at: [...]Note from supplier description: Ford Premium Sound/Ford Explorer 1995-Up Plugs into Car Harness (Power/4 Speaker) Turbowires(tm) have been color-coded using the aftermarket radio industry standard (E.I.A. Color Code). Features a high impact, OEM quality, ABS plastic molded connector for the perfect fit, while the new GXL wire provides more flexibility, power handling and heat resistance. The precision hand assembled terminals are pressure-inserted into the plug making it virtually impossible to pull a wire out. All top quality design features. Turbowires(tm) are 7" in length.
