I bought a used Ford Taurus that did not come with a key fob. It would have cost me much more to get a replacement from the dealer. This key fob works as described after I followed the simple instructions to program it myself. I couldn't be more please with the money that I spent on this product

Cheap, Easy, and Quality
I bought a 2001 Ford Focus ZTS last week and it only came with 1 key and no remote. Since then I have had another key made, but I decided I wanted a remote first. Most places were charging around $50 for a remote, so I decided to check amazon out.I got this remote for $20 shipped, the seller got it to me in 4 days. This remote can not get better. I took it out of the package and went out to my car, I turned to car from OFF to RUN 4 times in under 6 seconds and then when I turned it to OFF, the car beeped. At this point you press any button on the remote and the car will beep again. Then you turn it to RUN again and then shut it off, the remote is now programmed.It took me a max of 30 seconds to program the remote, and it works great. It locks, unlocks, pops the trunk, and sets off the alarm. What more can you ask for?Great A+++ product, would buy another one if I needed to.

2004 Taurus dash kit
The product's construction is aright. However it dose not fit nicely into the dash of the car. Sometimes it falls out when the car is in motion. The wireing harness works well. I wound up putting the stock stereo back into the dash, and used this after market cover and stereo on the floor under the stock stereo. I have a friend who has the same car, and he figured out how to add a sub and better sound through the stock head unit. I think it would be worth doing that way, if you care about good looks.

Watch out.
Overall this is a pretty great product, but there is poor construction in it. The supports are weak, it seems as if they are just held on by epoxy.

Very Nice
I received this kit from Amazon a couple days ago and put it and my new radio in my '02 Taurus in about 2 hours. It is sturdy and looks nice though it doesn't look like factory equipment. I chose this one because others were said to look cheap and feel flimsy. This one is definitely better than that.The plastic is multi layer and sturdy and holds the radio without any problem. This adapter has back lighting for the climate controls too and they look better than those on the 96 - 99 kit also made by Metra which look pretty cheezy.The biggest complaint (and its not that bad) is that the instructions could be a little more detailed. But after getting familiar with everything the installation was pretty easy. It would also be nice if they included the removal tools. I ended up shoving drill bits and allen keys in the holes then pushing the old one out from behind.One quick note, if your new radio is deeper than the Ford control unit, you will...

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus SE. Firstly, I would only recommend you purchase this kit if the year of your car is 2000-2003 (as stated on the box.) The kit comes with everything you would need, the only drawback; however, is that the directions could be more detailed as far as wiring goes. The diagrams could also be better drawn, but what can you do. I had to take this into Best Buy, because I just couldn't figure out how to wire the darned thing. Although, if wiring is your thing, this will be no problem whatsoever for you. I would also recommend you pickup a "din" removal tool, which will save you a boatload of hassle. Overall, the thing looks great, works great, and I would highly recommend this to anyone who was interested.

Not bad for the cost
I ordered two of these keyless entry remotes when they arrived only one would program. I originally ordered them when the loop that the key ring goes through broke and decided at the cost why not pick one up for my spare set that didn't have one. Since the one didn't work I took the board out of the one with the broken case. Works fine now.
