I wouldn't do an install without one of these Harnesses this plugs in th the car/truck factory harness. It is color coded so you connect the new player to this harness. What is so nice is you can do all of your wire connections in the house and then install is just plug and play, plus if you sell your ride unplug the new one plug in the old and keed the player for your next ride. No more laying under the dash trying to figure out the wires of the oringinal manufactures and trying to splice into their wire harness. Fit my 2003 Ford Supercrew with single CD. Top to learn more

Perfect fit for 2003 Ford F-150
I picked this harness up for an installation on a 2003 Ford F-150. It was easy to install but the instructions do have the "dimmer" wire labeled as Orange/White when it was Orange/Black on this harness. Most people will not use that wire anyway; the orange wire in the harness labeled "illumination" is the one most people will use. For most aftermarket stereos it's just a matter of matching the wires on this harness to the same color wires on your stereo's harness. Closest to HID by far
I picked these up in Canada but it looks like they are now available in the US from Amazon. I was a bit skeptical because I have been trying to find a replacement bulb that replicates or comes close to HID Xenon for my '04 Touareg (I neglected to tick that option box when I bought it). Finally after trying three different brands and styles I have found the winner. I compared the HID lighting in my Audi to the Nighthawk Platinum and one would be hard pressed to tell the difference. It's also very noticeable in nighttime driving, I can see much better on the back country roads and it has given me more confidence when I do have to be out in the dark. A great product that's worth the $.Just keep in mind that when it comes to halogen bulbs the brighter they are, the hotter they burn and the quicker they burn out. If you have daytime running lights that utilize your headlamps don't expect to get much more than a year out of these (or any similar product such as the Silverstar)...

The only decent bulb for 9004, well worth the price
OK, everybody with a car that takes 9004 headlights know how horrible the design is. The low-beam is only 45 watts, focused basically like a cheap flood light only worse. Finally, there is a good bulb in 9004: the GE Nighthawk Platinum. It is the only +90 sold in the US, and the only one for 9004. (It is also available in almost every bulb type except sealed beams). As the 9004 was US-only, most of the good European bulbs (Osram Silverstar and Nightbreaker, Philips Xtreme Power, etc) are not available in 9004.No longer sold anywhere except Amazon (Wal-Mart used to sell them but they no longer carry this awesome bulb). The price is comparable to the Sylvania Silverstar, and cheaper than the Silverstar Ultra (which are both "faker" blue-tinted overpriced junk). Most "bright" and "white" bulbs cheat their way to white light by dipping their bulb in blue paint--it "looks" whiter but the blue filter really robs much of the light, and visibility is actually *decreased*. Better than OEM lights
Just replaced the high (9005) and low (9006) on my '03 4Runner. Installation took about 10 minutes. These lights are brighter than the OEM bulbs. The light is a bit whiter but not like the HID bulbs on my other car. If these bulbs weren't on sale, I probably would have gone with the HID upgrade for a few dollars more.When you put these in make sure not to touch the glass part of the bulb. Other than that; installation is simple:* Twist out the bulb assembly by turning 1/4* Release the retaining latch to remove the bulb* Replace the bulb* Insert the bulb assembly and lock in place turning 1/4If they don't last; I'll post an update.

Good choice
These lights are a big improvement over stock bulbs without being obnoxious to other drivers. I have not had failures of this lamp in any vehicle. I am careful not to touch the glass of the bulb with bare skin. Finger oils can supposedly damage the glass and shorten the life. As an electrician, Sylvania bulbs are my first choice. Night Driving Is Now Not Dreaded!!!!
I recently purchased a 2007 Nissan Frontier SE pick-up. I noticed it had the reflective headlights when I purchased it, but thought no furthur about it until my first night back roads(dark) drive. We have a lot of deer in the area, and hardly a night goes by that I do not have them cross the road in front of me. I could not see more than 100 feet in front of me on dim and about 125 feet on bright, it seemed, and was hesitant to drive more than 30-35 mph. I found myself ducking down to try to see under the light/dark edge. I was amazed to hear my wife describe the same feeling. I hated to drive at night. I contacted the local Nissan dealer and asked if the lights could be adjusted. The service manager acted like I was crazy and said they had not had this problem before, and was no help at all. I contacted Nissan headquarters who were even less help. They told me to contact the local dealers who were independently owned, and would be glad to furnish me a list of the area... Decent bulbs
These bulbs came in perfect condition (what else could you expect from Amazon)The bulbs are the basic halogen bulbs so installation took no more then 15 minutes for both bulbs. They give out a crisp white light, you can see a hue of blue (from the light blue coating from the bulb) on from certain angles. The light is defiantly whiter then the stock, but only slighter brighter. The bulbs are really great for unlit roads. So if you are looking for some upgraded bulbs these seem to work fine for me. Compared this side by side againts OEM, then on another test against Harbor Freight store bulb.Brand new OEM vs Philips' CrystalVision:When compared to a brand new 9007 OEM, the philips is slightly dimmer. Only noticeable when looked directly at headlight lenses but not noticeable from inside the car. But compared to a bulb close to end of its life, philips is much brighter as shown in their ad picture although the same is true for OEM vs "used". The philips is much whiter though vs OEM.Now, Harbor Freight bulb vs Philips CV:This is where the yellow hue became obvious. The Harbor Freight is a sminch whiter and made the philips' yellow hue obvious. They're both halogen and gives out the same light power but the HB bulb is a sminch whiter/bluer.For longevity, I've own this for only a couple of weeks as of the time of this writing and so I have none to report as of yet.I highly recommend this bulb only if your... Piaa Xtreme white 65/55 9007 HB5 bulbs
I own a 2001 F-150. Because of all the hype about Piaa bulbs, I bought the Piaa Xtreme-white 55/65 watt bulbs to replace the Sylvania Silver Star bulbs which burn out after 4 yrs of use. I found the Piaa bulbs to be about the same brightness as the regular Silver Star bulbs. The Piaa Bulbs due cost about 3x more then the Silver stars Bulbs. But, the Piaa do have a Limited Lifetime Warranty, what ever that means.In the attempt to get the maximum amount of light from the Piaa bulbs I "had" to re-aim my headlights. I found the Piaa bulbs to distribute more light to the sides of the vehicle but the light did not shoot any higher or lower compared to the Silver Star bulbs. Light quality and intensity is about the same. All though the light color is a little more in the white color range vs the Silver Stars.If I have to buy light bulbs again, due to the cost factor and amount of light able to archive from a Halogen.
