Works really well in my 2004 F-150. The finish matches almost perfectly with the truck's stock finish. The only posible negative is that the 2 side mounts are plastic rather than steel but they seem to hold the head unit securely. I made sure to use the rear rubber coated pin that came on the stock head unit to hold up the rear of the new head unit.

I've been off-roading for more than four decades. Bikes, buggies and now, a 4x4. Never really thought I needed a winch until I got the 4X4, but since my Trooper weighs in at around 4,500 pounds, I knew there was no way I could get out of a "sticky" situation without a winch. I run in sand at Hatteras, hills and woods at Wind Rock and make the occasional trip to CO to explore old mining trails and hunt for ghost towns. And I always travel alone. So, one of my first purchases for the Trooper was an ARB bullbar and a Warn M8000. That was in 2002. Oddly, since then, I haven't had a desperate need for a winch. Oh, there have been numerous times when I have had to clear a large branch or tree from the trail, but I've never been stuck, so I never had a chance to put the M8000 to the test.Then, this Spring, I had a 70', 18" diameter black pine break in a windstorm and fall into the lake near my boat dock where we live. Does what it says
This is the best basic winch you can get. Don't be fooled into buying any of the cheaper ones. Learn from my mistakes. It does what it says it does. Pulls four tons. Has paid for itself in my case with one emergency use. Had to pull and lift 2.5 tons which it did with ease. I would recommend having a snatch block and either a chain or heavy strap to give more options when needed. It is not always possible to get the truck with the winch in exactly the right spot. Not "10 times" brighter
I installed the smoke Recon lights on my 2007 F-350. I broke one of my stock lenses while plowing. A pair of these lights are about the same cost as one stock Ford product. So by buying this product, I now have a spare lense for the side I didn't break.I assembled one side first so I could get a good comparison. They appear to be the same brightness as the stock ones. Also, the assembly instructions say there are 3 tabs/ clips that are used to release the mirror cover. My truck had 4 tabs (2 upper and 2 lower) and the covers would not come off until I released the 4th tab. Be careful when assembling or you'll break your tabs. Nice looking product once installed. I ordered a pair of these to replace a broken one. You push down on the upper tabs and up on the lower tab to remove the mirrors covers. The new lenses have a plug on a cable so you have to stuff that into any space you can. The price is right the look is good. I guess they could fit a little better but I would buy another pair. Recon LED side mirror lens-Ford Super Duty
Ordered these Recon replacement lenses for my truck to replace a cracked factory Ford lens. The dealer wanted 160. per side, so obviously, at 90 for the pair these lenses represent a great value. There are 4 tabs that need to be released, (the instructions only call out 3) but replacement was easy, and straightforward. The lenses fit like factory, and the smoke tint looks much better than the factory yellow. Awesome deal, great value, fast shipping from Amazon, and I saved 70 bucks. What's not to like? The units looked great very clean, however they didn't come with install directions. I had to track them down on-line. after that it was a simple install. the one down side is you have to remove the headlamp adjusters so you can't adjust the beam angle and again there is no literature to help correct this issue. over all I'm happy with the final product.
