I wouldn't do an install without one of these Harnesses this plugs in th the car/truck factory harness. It is color coded so you connect the new player to this harness. What is so nice is you can do all of your wire connections in the house and then install is just plug and play, plus if you sell your ride unplug the new one plug in the old and keed the player for your next ride. No more laying under the dash trying to figure out the wires of the oringinal manufactures and trying to splice into their wire harness. Fit my 2003 Ford Supercrew with single CD.

Perfect fit for 2003 Ford F-150
I picked this harness up for an installation on a 2003 Ford F-150. It was easy to install but the instructions do have the "dimmer" wire labeled as Orange/White when it was Orange/Black on this harness. Most people will not use that wire anyway; the orange wire in the harness labeled "illumination" is the one most people will use. For most aftermarket stereos it's just a matter of matching the wires on this harness to the same color wires on your stereo's harness. Works good, little bit brighter and whiter than OEM
The bulb colour is approximately the advertised 4000K. It's certainly not that bright HID white; you'll want to go to the Diamondvision 5000K bulbs for that. Still, if you want a nice, natural 4000K bulb, this is a good buy. The price is right, and they haven't failed in the 2 months I've had them. Hardly an indication of how long it'll last, but it ought to be better than the Sylvania's. I feel like the throw has increased when I drive at night, and can now clearly see where the left beam is shorter than the right beam (as it should be). For anybody wondering, the bulbs have a slight blue tint to them.

Closest to HID by far
I picked these up in Canada but it looks like they are now available in the US from Amazon. I was a bit skeptical because I have been trying to find a replacement bulb that replicates or comes close to HID Xenon for my '04 Touareg (I neglected to tick that option box when I bought it). Finally after trying three different brands and styles I have found the winner. I compared the HID lighting in my Audi to the Nighthawk Platinum and one would be hard pressed to tell the difference. It's also very noticeable in nighttime driving, I can see much better on the back country roads and it has given me more confidence when I do have to be out in the dark. A great product that's worth the $.Just keep in mind that when it comes to halogen bulbs the brighter they are, the hotter they burn and the quicker they burn out. If you have daytime running lights that utilize your headlamps don't expect to get much more than a year out of these (or any similar product such as the Silverstar)...

The only decent bulb for 9004, well worth the price
OK, everybody with a car that takes 9004 headlights know how horrible the design is. The low-beam is only 45 watts, focused basically like a cheap flood light only worse. Finally, there is a good bulb in 9004: the GE Nighthawk Platinum. It is the only +90 sold in the US, and the only one for 9004. (It is also available in almost every bulb type except sealed beams). As the 9004 was US-only, most of the good European bulbs (Osram Silverstar and Nightbreaker, Philips Xtreme Power, etc) are not available in 9004.No longer sold anywhere except Amazon (Wal-Mart used to sell them but they no longer carry this awesome bulb). The price is comparable to the Sylvania Silverstar, and cheaper than the Silverstar Ultra (which are both "faker" blue-tinted overpriced junk). Most "bright" and "white" bulbs cheat their way to white light by dipping their bulb in blue paint--it "looks" whiter but the blue filter really robs much of the light, and visibility is actually *decreased*. Better than OEM lights
Just replaced the high (9005) and low (9006) on my '03 4Runner. Installation took about 10 minutes. These lights are brighter than the OEM bulbs. The light is a bit whiter but not like the HID bulbs on my other car. If these bulbs weren't on sale, I probably would have gone with the HID upgrade for a few dollars more.When you put these in make sure not to touch the glass part of the bulb. Other than that; installation is simple:* Twist out the bulb assembly by turning 1/4* Release the retaining latch to remove the bulb* Replace the bulb* Insert the bulb assembly and lock in place turning 1/4If they don't last; I'll post an update.

Good choice
These lights are a big improvement over stock bulbs without being obnoxious to other drivers. I have not had failures of this lamp in any vehicle. I am careful not to touch the glass of the bulb with bare skin. Finger oils can supposedly damage the glass and shorten the life. As an electrician, Sylvania bulbs are my first choice. They have served me well over the years with impressive longevity.

Night Driving Is Now Not Dreaded!!!!
I recently purchased a 2007 Nissan Frontier SE pick-up. I noticed it had the reflective headlights when I purchased it, but thought no furthur about it until my first night back roads(dark) drive. We have a lot of deer in the area, and hardly a night goes by that I do not have them cross the road in front of me. I could not see more than 100 feet in front of me on dim and about 125 feet on bright, it seemed, and was hesitant to drive more than 30-35 mph. I found myself ducking down to try to see under the light/dark edge. I was amazed to hear my wife describe the same feeling. I hated to drive at night. I contacted the local Nissan dealer and asked if the lights could be adjusted. The service manager acted like I was crazy and said they had not had this problem before, and was no help at all. I contacted Nissan headquarters who were even less help. They told me to contact the local dealers who were independently owned, and would be glad to furnish me a list of the area...

Great bulbs @ a great price
Replaced the stock bulbs (3000k) on my 2012 Yukon Denali, and immediatly (sp) noticed a brighter, whiter light (4100k), in a wider spreading area. I like the fact that these bulbs are DOT legal, with a minimal (sp) raise in output wattage. You do not need any special "wire harness adapter" for these bulbs draw stock current, and you do not have to worry of lens discoloration due to any excessive heat.These bulbs seem very well made, and are manufactured in the USA (some other sizes in Germany). I try to stay away from automotive products produced in China.This is the bulb that looks like the 5k HID lights (to me), and Sylvania will replace them free if they do not last 1 year (must have receipt).

Excellent Performance, Very Short Life
I've used these lights on my previous vehicle (2006 Dodge Ram 1500) and was VERY impressed with the visibility improvement over stock. As I've just traded that for a 2011 F150 Platinum (new), I'm back to a truck with the same headlights as I had in 1993. Very yellow, dim, definitely not as sharp as the truck they're attached to.I do acknowledge that these will have a much shorter lifespan than stock halogens, and I've accepted that. Some other reviews for comparable models site less than 12 months, but the lamps I purchased for my Dodge lasted at least two years, and I drove with my headlights on (daytime) constantly.I've purchased two sets, installed one set, and keep the other set in the glove box for quick access on the road. If the first set fails before 12 months, my receipt will be in Amazon's records, and Sylvania will send me a new set for free. (Warrantied for 1 yr)This should get me roughly 2-3 years of use for $120, after that, I'm...

Works Good
These headlight bulbs work great. Much more of whiter light than the original factory bulbs. They project farther and wider. I had one problem. I originally ordered the 9007 bulbs because Amazon said it would fit my vehicle. Unfortunately they do not. I have a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. The bulbs that fit my vehicle are the H13 bulbs not the 9007. I called Amazon and they sent me the H13's the next day with free shipping.
