And the person who put the previous brake controller on before me cut into one of these wires and connected both ends into the brake controller, but it wasn't a green one, and when I went back and took out all the non-factory wiring, the truck... I tossed out a 3-wire connector that the brake controller was wired into that was actually factory original wiring. This wiring had labels on each wire (3 wires total) telling what each one was. It seems most of the 87-91 trucks didn't even have these 3 wires there, just a plug in the firewall, and the ones that did have the 3 wires are gone.
The motor runs great once i'm going and it seems to be worse if I am stopped for awhile say, at a red light. I suspect it to be a fuel delivery problem so I have checked both tanks for fuel pressure (at carb) and istalled a booster pump to boot. I have an 87 f250 4X4 with a carbureted 460 which I have elected to completely re build (engine, that is). I did away with all that silly emissions stuff, New carb and manifold, new ignition system, Headers as well as having the heads opened up...
