While today they make kits that require only that you pull the pieces out of the box, and snap them together (They come molded in color, and have chrome parts, and 'rubber' tires), this kit, originally issued by Pyro, dates back to the 1960s, and requires a little more creativity and effort on the part of the builder. All parts are molded in color, there is no chrome, no engine, and the wheel/tire assemblies are two piece affairs, with inside and outside halves that must be glued together and painted. This extra effort is rewarded, however, in the building of skills, and the individualism you attain by building it your way. This is a kit that was designed for beginning modelers of the 1960's, and requires the builder to paint all the pieces, and assemble them with cement glue. To be honest, this is a much more satisfying experience than just snapping it all together. I found the gold color this model is made of to be a fairly sickening color. It is a snap tite model and with some proper painting and attention to detail it can be made into a really nice reproduction of the original.
