Best of it's type
The Bishop/Tardel "How to Build a Traditional Hot Rod" is the very best book of this genre that I have seen. It's chock full of good clear photos and captions that explain exactly what's going on.As well as accurate measurements. Something not found in most other books. It's apparent that Bishop and Tardel put a lot of extra effort into this book and you'll find it to be quite detailed.Even if you're building a modern style roadster or coupe, there's a lot of valuable information in this book that can apply. And at the least make you appreciate hot rod history in a manner not seen to date.Bishop and Tardel are a couple of guys who have been there and done that and if this book doesn't make you want to start building a traditional hot rod I'd be surprised.

Should be called "As Good As It Gets."
I bought this book, then I bought a Model A. This is the only modern book I've read that can gives the reader a strait forward guide to building an real hot rod circa 1950. The correct wheel choices, banjo rear ends, Naugahyde! No Chevy 350s or billet here! Bishop & Tartel show you how the old timers did it, and then how to do it right.I use it as a reference book and take everywhere. It's the basis for my A-V8, I couldn't build as good a period car without it. The pictures are captivating, the diagrams are totally right on. If I didn't feel as strongly about this book I wouldn't be writing this review.

Build a Traditional Ford Hot Rod
Overall, I like the book but I have two complaints:1) The book glosses over some of the most technical items. Information on adapting steering and rear suspension are minimal. More pictures and diagrams for these would have helped.2) The editing or print job is terrible, at least in my copy. Pictures are missing or misplaced, irrelevant to the chapter, or have been chopped in half. I wish I had a few pictures referenced but not found.

This is the very first Ford Model T we have ever had. This one also has overdrive, a rare feature that enables this Model T to cruise at highway speeds of 50 Miles per hour and more.
s supposed to. . This kit is very simple but does accurately represent a mid-20s Ford Model T. It goes together easily and you have the option of building a coupe, roadster or pickup like it would have come from the factory or as a hot rod,... There were scores of available Model T bodies—roadster, coupe, sedan, turtleback, pickup, sedan delivery, and others. The roadster body can be mated with a turtle deck, stock pickup bed or a shortened pickup bed and comes with the top up or down. In the end I built a stock coupe to match the roadster pickup that I built from an earlier version. I saw one small glitch in the roadster body—there was a lump of plastic on the cowl that had to be ground down for the interior to fit. body and a roadster. 5 hours each to assemble those first 12,000 Model Ts, by 1914 that time had been reduced to a mere 93 minutes and over 2,000,000 rolled off the assembly line. The first Model Ts were virtually hand assembled—just 12,000 were built its first two years. s vision was the Model T Ford. The Model T was a simple car, powered by a 4 cylinder engine that produced 20 hp, but didn&rsquo. First produced in 1908 and continued through 1927, the Model T was the car that put America (and arguably the world) on wheels.
While there, conversating with a fellow motorist, Randy was given a tip, that a '33 Ford Roadster had been living, tucked away in Martinez, Ca. for some time, and the location of the old gow job. This '33 is much more than just a roadster project, an old relic from Argentina, or a rare car. I figured I should give a background story on this roadster, and what it all means, and where it's headed. It was born here, from the minds of men who dared to go faster, and men who took a Model T, A, B, or C Ford (and let's not forget Whippets), and used them to express themselves via pistons, manifolds, cut down windshields. The dude's got skills, believe it. Randy's shop, "Hotrod Garage" is not just another mancave, shop, or hotrod sanctuary. ashamed, because I knew Randy would see it. I had to get right again to walk down that driveway after hiding from the world for a long time, but that long walk was the day I began to heal again. With that said, it's makes me happy to see my friend succeed, to live his dream, and for old tin to find it's way down his driveway. Randy is not just a friend I consider kin, but the most skilled machinist, welder, fabricator, and dreamer of shop dreams i've ever seen. The current owner, is my good friend, whom i've referred to previously in other posts as "Uncle Randy". To no surprise, one look was all it took, the details were worked out, and the '33 came to live across town @ Hotrod Garage. These men had no model to copy. It's that culture that Randy and Hotrod Garage represent. It's where i've always gone to lick my wounds from life's cuts and jabs, we just also happen to build hotrods and rebuild lives there too.

“As much attention as we generated last year with the '52 Ford, our '29 Model A Roadster Pickup is going to blow those folks' socks off!” When asked what comes next, Hemcher doesn't skip a beat. “I'm scanning Vintage Motor Cars' Web site all the time

I hadn't been to a Tesla event since the reveal of the Roadster back in 2006. Back then, Elon Musk was heftier, less of a public speaker. He'd yet to adopt the cult hero/Bond villain shtick he's cultivated over the past half-decade.
